September Recap:
Well, what can be said about this season? A lot mind you, but we'll
stick to the facts at hand and how the 2006 Point Series is shaping up!
With only 2 races left in the season, the tension is building and time is
running out. I would like to point out, that this year the racers are
enjoying themselves and putting fun 1st on their list. Several are trying
very hard to do well in the series, but no one has been loosing sight of the
fact that Ground Pounder rule #1 is too HAVE FUN.
All Racers are still being listed in the series results. As of the next
race, only Ground Pounder members will be shown. So, PLEASE sign up for the
club and show your support for their racing efforts and a great racing
series.
Anyway, onto the recap .... (in reverse order this time)
Nitro Oval Sedans:
It's a three way battle for top honors
here. Dave Chipley appears to have third place locked up, but anything can
happen. Matt Senn leads the trio, but he's only 3 points up on Craig
Albano. It will come down to consistency and keeping the cars running!
1/12 Scale Oval:
Another three way battle with this
group. Jake Rosen leads Tim Stiles by only 2 points. Joe Albano runs
steady in 3rd place. Will things change here? I'm sure they
will!
Spec-19 NASCAR:
What a season it's been for this
class! One of the biggest fields for this class in years. A few
surprises have happened with who's consistent and who's not. No surprise
that Kevin Osmon is up front. But, it's only by 2 points over Anthony
Crivelli. And, Jake Rosen is only 1 point out in 3rd. This class has
seen some great racing all year, and I'm sure the last two races will be very
exciting!
4 Cell Stock:
Close racing all year in this class, which
has seen larger fields all year. Large fields means the point separation
happens quickly and two guys have risen to the top. Dan Hageman leads Dave
Frederick by 2 points. This friendly rivalry will go down to the last
race! Amy Wildt sits pretty in 3rd place overall.
1/12 Scale On-Road:
Jim Rose leads Steve Ashby by 1
point. Two of the three Wise Men are set to give it there best as the
season winds down. Dave Chipley has put in good runs all year, sitting in
3rd place.
Expert Nitro Sedans:
Anthony Crivelli has blown the filed
away in this class. Marcus Rezzonico holds the 2nd place. No other
contenders for the title this year.
Modified Sedans:
Matt Senn has stepped up his racing
program and is having a great year in this class. He's holding the #1 spot
and doesn't appear to be willing to let it go. Eric Albano has put in good
runs all season and now sits in 2nd place. No other contenders for the
title this year.
Roar 19 Sedans:
Chris Dodson leads Ronnie Rones by 1
point in this class. Eric Wildt is in 3rd, 3 points down.
Stock Sedan:
Oh what a season for this class! Lot's
of racers involved in this class and everyone doing a great job all
season. Currently, Eric Albano and Chris Dodson are tied for 1st
place! Both teams are sure to bring out the good stuff for the remaining
races in hope of securing the title. Ronnie Rones is in 3rd place, but
only 1 point ahead of Zac Wheatcroft. So, expect some really exciting
races in this class as 2006 winds down.
Well, that's all for this time!
