Point Series Recap as of July 4th, 2006.
Well, here we are, 3 races in and it's the official start to the 2006 Points
Chase! This will be an interesting year in a few classes, with deep fields
making it important to make the A's and have consistent finishes.
So far the big classes are Stock Sedan, 4 Cell Stock, and Spec-19
NASCAR. But, most classes have a good group of Racers running for the
Series Championships. Hopefully racers will give the Series a good run and
attend all the upcoming races.
Stock Sedan:
Chris Dodson, Eric Albano, and Ronzo
look to make this a three way shootout for 2006 (Matt Senn has retired from
Stock). The three are very evenly matched and this should be an exciting
class to follow. Dean Hall, Zac Wheatcroft and Scott Callaghan are not
that far behind the top three, they can easily get into the mix and spice things
up.

Roar 19 Sedans:
A new class for the
GP Club in 2006, with a small group of dedicated racers viaing for the top
spots. Ronzo leads the pack at this point. Eric Wildt and Chris
Dodson are tied as of the 3rd race, and both want to make up the few spots
between them and #1. Ben Aromin, Jim Rose, Brian Gilson and Jerry Stark
are still within striking distance of the top three and all want to improve
their positions.

Modified Sedans:
In years past, it's been a one man show
in this class. Jesse Stark has some pressure this season, he's leading at
race 3, but Matt Senn is only a point behind and already has 2 wins on the
board! Eric Albano and Steven Degard need consistent finishes to keep the
leaders in sight.

Nitro Sedans:
Two guys have battled for the class Championship the
past two years in this class, and this year looks to be no different.
Anthony Crivelli leads by 1 point over Douglass Humphrey, and I'm sure it will
be a close chase all the way to the end. Marshall Keener, new comer
Marcus Rezzonico and Doug Lemmons are close in points and can easily get into
the mix.

1/12 Scale Road:
A
small but very dedicated crew are wanting the top spot in this class.
Steve Ashby leads the field, but the top 4 are separated by only 2 points.
Jim Rose, Ronzo, and Michael O'Donnell will be putting the pressure on Steve the
whole season.

4 Cell
Stock:
A super huge field again this season, and only 5 points
separate the top 6 drivers! David Frederick is leading the pack, but hot
on his heals are John Mitchell, Dan Hageman, Amy Wildt, Brian Gilson, Ethan
Cottrell, Tom Callaghan, Craig Albano and Scott Callaghan. With so many
racers in the series, consistent finishes will be very important. Look for
exciting races all season.

Spec-19
NASCAR:
Big fields
in his class are separating the points chase very quickly.
Those racers putting in consistent finishes are staying closer
to leader Kevin Osmon, and the rest will have to work hard at keeping pace.
Anthony Crivelli and Jake Rosen are tied for 2nd, 4 points down from 1st.
Eric Wildt is at 195 in 4th and George Mitchell is in 5th, only 5 points away
from 3rd. Dan Sciacca, Tom Sobetzki, Dan Hageman, Dave Wert, David
Frederick and Eric Albano can easily up their spots in the Points Chase and will
be trying very hard to do so.
